Programs at SOH

Students who are interested in architecture, construction, or engineering can learn from professionals in the field and apply what they learn in the national Construction Industry Round Table (C.I.R.T) competition. Learn more

Part of the engineering pathway and academic curriculum are the architecture classes in which students will learn to:

• Use industry software
• Develop structures from architectural sketches all the way up to 3D and physical models
• Gain experience at our self-sustaining farm Lean more

Beginning their journey in the engineering pathway at SOH, students will be received with introductory courses to the engineering process. Students will understand how to identify and brainstorm solutions for conflicts in their community and develop a variety of personal projects. Bring your creations to competitions at local universities. MESA is a program ran by San Diego State University (SDSU) where students can participate in a variety of engineering challenges spanning coding, architecture, design, robotics, mechanics, and more. Learn more

Offered as an extracurricular, students can join the VEX Robotics club where they will develop their own robots from scratch and learn how to drive them for seasonal competitions against other schools. Learn more

Organization empowering and supporting women at our school to succeed and excel in STEM and engineering fields. Learn more

Student-run greenhouse and farm. Students expand and improve farm mechanisms. Crops are used by the school, by students, sold, or fed to our chickens. Learn more
